Instagram sensation, Mrs Hinch, raises over £30,000 for Place2Be

Sophie Hinchliffe, better known as Mrs Hinch, raised over £30,000 for Place2Be with the launch of her new, sold-out range of merchandise.

We were delighted to welcome our newest supporter, Sophie Hinchliffe, to our Carol Concert in early December where she presented us with a cheque for an incredible £33,868.54.

With a following of almost 3 million, Sophie Hinchliffe has become an Instagram sensation with her cleaning tips, spotless home, and beautiful family. We were delighted when Sophie reached out to offer Place2Be her support.

In early November, Sophie announced she was launching her own range of merchandise, but with 100% of the profits going to Place2Be. She pledged to raise a minimum of £20,000 for us. Her merchandise was a huge hit with her fans, and sold out within hours!

Sophie, who lives in Essex and welcomed her first child earlier this year, has been open about her own mental health and says cleaning helps her to manage her anxiety and panic attacks. On launching the merchandise, she wrote:

"If you've read Hinch Yourself Happy, then you'll know that I didn't have the best time at school.  I was lucky enough to have a very supportive family who I could talk to at the time, but it breaks my heart to know that there are children out there who are going through so so much, who don't have anyone at all to support them, or anyone that they can turn to, so I think the work being carried out by charities like Place2Be is just so important.  And I could never thank them enough."

Just £7 could help a child access our support, so Sophie's donation could help us to support over 4,800 children.

A huge thank you to Sophie, her team and her family who joined us at our Carol Concert. We’re so grateful for your support, and excited to continue working with you.
