Citi's e for education campaign to support Place2Be
Place2Be are delighted to have been selected as one of ten charities benefitting from Citi's annual e for education campaign.
Citi’s 8th annual e for education campaign will run from 7 September to 30 October 2020, raising money for ten charities including Place2Be.
This is the third year that Citi has chosen Place2Be as one of the charities to benefit from e for education. Their 2019 campaign raised a record $8.15 million for education focused non-profits around the world. The e for education initiative has raised $37.65 million since 2013, a truly incredible amount which has supported over 600,000 pupils and students worldwide.
During September and October 2020 the Citi FX departments will donate $1 for every $1 million traded electronically to their chosen charities. The commodities, global spread products, futures and equities and rates departments will also be providing similar contributions.
Catherine Roche, Chief Executive of Place2Be, said:
“Place2Be is incredibly grateful for the continued support from Citi’s e for education programme. With all of the uncertainty and loss that we have faced this year, there has never been a more important time to ensure that children can access high quality support for their mental health. Thanks to this funding, we will be able to continue delivering vital in-school services to ensure that pupils, families and teachers are well supported, which in turn will create excellent learning environments.”
